As an Analytics Engineer, you will be responsible for creating compelling, clear, and powerful visualizations that turn large data sets into useful and meaningful information, and presenting this in a variety of ways. We want our data to tell a clear story, highlight insights we haven’t previously seen, and do it all faster than we’ve been able to do previously, and so enable optimal efficiency when making data-informed decisions. You will be an expert at translating statistical data and complex combinations of data that are often difficult to conceptualize and present this in ways that are truly transformative, understandable, easy to interpret and to spot patterns, trends, and correlations.. . You will need a good business acumen, the ability to frequently engage with stakeholders across the business so that you can partner with the business and develop solutions that add real business value and that support them in delivering on their key strategic initiatives.. . Responsibilities. . . Engage in designing, developing, publishing, and maintaining Power BI reports, dashboards, data sets, data models and data flows.. . Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements for analytics and reporting.. . Implement security in reports and dashboards.. . Provide guidance to front end BI developers in the company.. . Optimize performance of dashboard design decisions on underlying data.. . Ensure Agile/scrum practices are followed during the development process.. . Gather, document, and design data integration and data visualization requirements for workloads ranging from small to enterprise size.. . . Skills & Experience . . . A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Development, Data Science, or certification in relevant BI technologies.. . A sound understanding of BI best practices, relational structures, star schemas, dimensional data modelling, denormalization processes, and reporting techniques including MS Power BI.. . Design knowledge and expertise in data visualization techniques.. . . . Extracting data or querying data.. . Analytical thinking.. . Data presentation skills.. . M Query.. . Data modelling.. . Python would be advantageous.. . . Personality Attributes . . . Strong communication skills to translate business requirements into dashboards and reporting.. .
