Security Engineer (f/m/d). to join our team on a freelance basis and contribute to the success of the "Helfende Wände" project.. . . . As a . Security Engineer (f/m/d). at Wunderflats, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security of our platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and manage security measures that protect our infrastructure, applications, and customer information. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field (or equivalent practical experience).. . Proven experience as a Security Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of information security concepts and best practices.. . Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH or equivalent, are a plus.. . Hands-on experience with security tools, vulnerability scanning and penetration testing.. . Familiarity with cloud security principles and containerisation.. . Proficiency in programming and scripting languages for security automation and tool development.. . Knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion. detection/prevention systems and encryption technologies.. . Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in high-pressure situations.. . Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across our teams.. . . . . RESPONSIBILITIES. . . Collaborate with Engineering Product Management and Data teams to integrate security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.. . Design, implement, and maintain security solutions and controls to safeguard our applications, systems and data.. . Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and address potential vulnerabilities and threats.. . Monitor and analyse security alerts and incidents, and take proactive measures to mitigate risks and respond to security incidents effectively.. . Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to continuously improve security posture.. . Participate in the design and review of infrastructure and architecture to ensure security requirements are met.. . Provide guidance and training to our Engineering teams on secure coding practices and security awareness.. .
