The Revenue Accountant is a highly critical and visible role within the Corporate Accounting team. Reporting to the Vice President, Revenue Controller, you will be responsible for revenue recognition and reporting across all subsidiaries of Leap Event Technology. Let’s talk.. AS A REVENUE ACCOUNTANT, YOU WILL:. Manage the end-to-end revenue recognition process in accordance with GAAP and company policies;. Review and analyze client agreements to determine revenue recognition treatment;. Collaborate with Sales, Legal, and Deal Desk teams to ensure alignment between contractual terms and revenue recognition principles;. Maintain deferred revenue schedules for all client contracts; reconcile the trial balance report for each subsidiary back to these schedules during the monthly close process;. Prepare revenue journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly close activities;. Maintain awareness of changes/updates to GAAP revenue recognition rules;. Assist in the preparation of the annual revenue budget, monthly revenue forecasts, and variance analysis;. EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required;. Minimum of 2 years experience in software-as-a-service (SaaS) revenue accounting (either in a corporate accounting environment or at a public accounting firm working with SaaS clients);. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel;. Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles;.
