This is an excellent entry-level opportunity to kickstart your career in virtualization, working with advanced VMware infrastructure, including VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF). Must have an active Secret clearance or higher. This person can live anywhere USA but you must be comfortable with travel. 50/50 travel/remote work.. . Salary 60-70K . Key Responsibilities: . Shadow senior engineers to learn and assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of VMware vSphere environments (vCenter, ESXi). . Participate in guided VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) tasks, including operations, deployments, and lifecycle management. . Support routine system monitoring, patching, and health checks under supervision. . Assist in troubleshooting virtual machines, hosts, and infrastructure issues with guidance from senior team members. . Learn to manage VMware technologies like vSAN and NSX within the VCF ecosystem through training and shadowing. . Help maintain documentation for system configurations and processes with support from the team. . Collaborate with senior engineers and IT teams on projects, learning best practices for issue resolution. . Basic understanding of virtualization concepts (compute, storage, networking) or a strong willingness to learn. . Familiarity with VMware vSphere and vCenter through coursework, self-study, or hands-on exposure. . Eagerness to develop skills in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), NSX, vSAN, and other SDDC technologies. . Good problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward learning. . Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset. . Associate or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, OR relevant certifications/coursework. . Preferred Qualifications . Progress toward VMware Certified Technical Associate (VCTA) or VCP-DCV certification. . Basic exposure to scripting (e.g., PowerCLI) through academic projects or personal learning. . Awareness of VMware NSX or vSAN concepts. .
