English Language Markers . who will be responsible for assessing candidates’ written and spoken responses in accordance with LANGUAGECERT standards, exam administration procedures and regulatory requirements. As a Marker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, fairness, and consistency of language assessments across various levels and qualifications.. You must be familiar with English Language teaching and assessment methodologies and have a thorough knowledge of the Common European Framework for Languages (CEFR) as well as a keen eye for detail. Familiarity with LANGUAGECERT exams is desirable.. Responsibilities. . Mark candidate performances (written and/or spoken production) accurately and consistently.. . Ensure that all assessments reflect appropriate and accurate professional judgement and that overall standards are maintained across levels and qualifications.. . Provide a clear and constructive feedback on assessment materials when required.. . Support malpractice prevention and contribute to investigations, where necessary.. . Participate in training and standardisation meetings.. . Ensure availability and adhere to deadlines.. .  . What we look for:. . Bachelor’s degree in English Language or related field (Linguistics, Education, ELT/TESOL). Teaching qualifications (e.g. CELTA, CertTESOL) will also be considered.. . Familiarity with English Language teaching and assessment methodologies, and thorough knowledge of the CEFR (Common European Framework for Languages). Familiarity with LANGUAGECERT exams is a plus.. . Minimum 2 years’ teaching and/or assessment experience (ideally at a language school; in the case of private tuition, letters of reference from employers might be requested). . Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with strong attention to detail. . Well organized, self-driven, flexible and able to work in a high-volume, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment. . Previous experience in certification, training, or examination environments is desirable. . Advanced computer literacy is required. ECDL Advance level certification is desirable.. .  . .
