The Sustainable Solutions Specialist is responsible for identifying, engaging, and securing new business opportunities with large CPG, food, and industrial customers, driving revenue through environmentally sustainable packaging solutions. This high-impact role is focused on a mix of new business development across assigned geographies (U.S. or EU) and growing existing clients, requiring a proven hunter mentality, strong industry relationships, and a passion for innovation in sustainable materials. This is a strategic, outward-facing sales role requiring strong leadership, collaboration, and an ability to navigate complex customer environments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:. Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities in assigned region, focusing on high-value, sustainability-driven packaging solutions.. . Develop and manage a robust pipeline of new prospects with a focus on Fortune 500 food and CPG companies.. . Lead the entire sales process from prospecting and initial outreach through proposal, negotiation, and close.. . Deliver compelling customer presentations that showcase our product innovation, environmental impact, and economic value.. . Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Operations, Legal, and Marketing to align offerings with customer needs and expectations.. . Act as a sustainability advisor and advocate for customers, offering insight into market trends, regulatory implications, and innovation pathways.. . Attend and represent the company at industry conferences, customer meetings, and sustainability forums.. . Provide ongoing market intelligence and competitor insights to inform internal product and growth strategy.. . Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by manager. . Candidates/incumbents must meet the minimum qualifications as detailed below.. . Bachelor’s degree in business (BBA) or bachelor’s degree in art (BA), Sustainability, Packaging Engineering, or related field (Master’s a plus). . . 5-10+ years of B2B enterprise-level sales experience, with at least 5 years in packaging, materials science, or sustainability-related products.. . Fluency in English is required. For EU based positions, fluency in another language such as German, Dutch, or French is advantageous.. . Proven track record of independently identifying, penetrating, and closing large-scale accounts in the CPG or food industry.. . Prior success selling to global and matrixed organizations in the U.S. and/or Europe.. . Experience working in or with cross-border teams, ideally across the U.S., EU, and/or LATAM markets..
