The specific course under consideration is:. NR722 - Role of the Educator in Facilitating Learning. - . In this course, students explore the role of the nurse educator as it relates to understanding facilitated learning, learner development and socialization, and functions within the educational environment. Emphasis is placed on educational theories that govern teaching and learning models and principles.. Responsibilities. Inspire students to complete their programs by providing regular, meaningful feedback about their academic performance, development and participation while encouraging them to engage fully in their education. Engage students in meaningful asynchronous threaded discussions at least 4 days per week, moderating participation, evaluating responses and rationales, and responding to questions or comments. Evaluate academic progress and comprehension of course content through assignments and discussions. MSN and DNP or PHD in Nursing degree is required (doctorate must be conferred). Must have an active . compact nursing license . Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) required. 2+ years teaching didactic courses online at the graduate level required (excluding precepting). If not already obtained, must be willing to obtain Illinois RN License (required to teach all courses). Must have required subject matter expertise and outstanding written communication skills and familiar with APA.. Must have excellent motivational and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment.. Solid written skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively in an online environment a must.. Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply. . In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected compensation rate for this position is between $850/Earned Credit Hour to $1,950/Earned Credit Hour, depending on the candidate’s education and experience. Actual pay may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as type of course taught; experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
