Manager, Leaves Management HubSpot. HubSpot is looking for a . Leaves Manager. to join our People Operations team. This position will be responsible for developing and overseeing the policies, programs and daily administration of HubSpot’s leave of absence programs. We are looking for someone who can balance being hands on with day-to-day operations and also has a strong strategic approach and vision for the leave of absence administration. . Responsibilities:. Responsible for overseeing all aspects of HubSpot’s leaves of absence and workers compensation program. Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and HubSpot policies, and serving as subject matter expert in these areas.. Drive the implementation of a third party leave of absence administration solution, including making recommendations for policy updates/changes, reviewing and updating plan grids, identifying necessary reporting, auditing, and participating in HRIS automation efforts. . Develops and implements absence management policies and procedures to effectively track and manage employee absences. . Establishes guidelines for managing leave of absence programs and requests in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.. Oversees the Workers’ Compensation and Occupational Medicine provider(s) to ensure a safe work environment for on-site and remote employees.. Drives the implementation, communication, and administration of new leave, disability programs, benefits, and worker’s compensation programs.. Works closely with HR Business Partners, Occupational Health, and managers to provide support associated with absence management and return to work, including development of recommendation for modified works schedules and arrangements to help transition employees back to work;. Analyzing data related to absences to identify trends and make recommendations for improvements. Generating ad hoc reports for senior management and using data-driven insights to help inform strategic decision-making related to our leave policies and absence management.. Manages absence vendor relationship.. Supervises all aspects of leave, disability, and worker’s compensation matters; serving as point of manager escalations as needed.. Develops and maintains policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with state and federal regulations for all HubSpot leaves and the worker’s compensation program. . Provides input into the use of technology in absence management working closely with the HRIS and Payroll teams. . Supervises and coaches assigned staff with an objective to retain and expand organizational talent through focused attention and efforts; provides timely and constructive feedback and manages performance issues when necessary.. May participate in special projects and other related duties as assigned..  . The ideal candidate will have:.  . 7+ years experience in leave of absence administration. Advanced knowledge and application of leave of absence laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEOC, HIPAA, ERISA, DOL, Federal, State and Local leave laws, etc.). Experience in project management with significant emphasis on process design. Experience in selection, implementation, and management of third-party-administrators. Dedication to ongoing process improvement with advanced knowledge and experience in absence program / strategy development, trend analysis, vendor management, regulatory compliance, and policy / procedure interpretation and enforcement. . Multi-state and shared services experience preferred.. Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of HRIS and processes, and an understanding of the downstream impact of transactions to benefits, pay, and other areas. Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills – investigate and understand the underlying cause of an issue as opposed to fixing the matter at-hand. . Proven ability to manage cross-functional HR projects, set priorities and leverage contributions of other team members to accomplish goals and deliver on-time results.. Strong participation in employee education and policy administration.. A natural communicator possesses great relationship building skills in order to initiate and develop productive working partnerships with all levels of management/leadership and staff along with effective vendor interface/management experience. .
