Senior Android Engineer TeamSnap. TeamSnap is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to help us continue our impressive growth from 2+ million daily active users to beyond!. What You’ll Do. Develop engaging experiences for our many Android users. Design and implement a scalable app, integrating it into an evolving unified product and system. Brainstorm and evaluate new product features in collaboration with the product and UX teams. Collaborate and pair with other developers to develop solutions and teach technical skills. Contribute to our development standards within the team and across engineering to ensure code quality, adherence to standards, and identify opportunities for improvement. Champion app reliability and stability, including progressing automated testing practices. Actively engage in on-call responsibilities and contribute to incident management efforts. Evaluate and test new technologies to help TeamSnap move faster or serve our users more effectively. What Will Set You Up for Success:. 4+ years working experience in Android Development. Experience with the full mobile development lifecycle from concept to Google Play Store. Familiarity with the current mobile landscape and keeping up-to-date with the current trends, emerging technology, best practices, and modern development approaches. Proficient in Kotlin and asynchronous programming techniques (RxJava or Kotlin Coroutines). Strong knowledge of Android Architecture Components including ViewModel, Lifecycle-aware components, and the navigation graph with the ability to put all of these parts together to achieve a solid architecture end-to-end (MVVM). Hands-on experience integrating APIs and services for mobile applications at scale.. Sensibility around mobile design and UX. Bonus points: Experience with Jetpack Compose UI (or excited to learn it!). Bonus points: A solid understanding of the concept of dependency injection (e.g. Hilt, Dagger, Koin). Got cold feet? Compensation. We’re committed to equitable compensation for all TeamSnappers. The minimum starting point for this role is . $165,750. inclusive of base and bonus, with comp updated based on multiple factors. Our comp is highly competitive in our space and we adjust overall comp based on relevant experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
