Broadvoice/GoContact is looking for an experienced Tech Leader for our Unified Communications team with a proven track record in software development and a strong passion for unified communications technologies. Your role will be pivotal in designing, implementing, and managing robust communication solutions using various components such as SIP servers, RTP proxies, and RTP media gateways. You will be the backbone of our Unified Communications team, ensuring our services are reliable, scalable, and secure..  . YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:. Design and Architect Systems. : Design and oversee the architecture of Unified Communications systems to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.. Protocol Management:. Manage and optimize the use of SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) and RTP (Real-Time Transport Protocol) within the communications infrastructure.. Software Development:. Develop and maintain software components of the Unified Communications stack, ensuring high performance and reliability.. Technology Integration:. Utilize various Unified Communications technologies, such as FreeSWITCH and Kamailio, ensuring seamless integration within the existing infrastructure.. Automation and Integration:. Implement automation to streamline operations and integrate Unified Communications systems with other enterprise systems and third-party applications.. Performance Monitoring:. Design and implement proactive monitoring and alerting strategies to anticipate and address issues before they impact our customers.. Incident Response:. Lead incident response efforts, contribute to post-mortem analysis, and refine processes to prevent future outages.. CI/CD Enhancement:. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for service rollout and management.. Mentorship. : Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members in best practices in Unified Communications, software development, and automation.. Documentation and Training:. Create and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, procedures, and best practices. Conduct training sessions for team members and other stakeholders..  .  . WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:. Experience. : 5+ years of experience in designing and developing Unified Communications systems with a strong focus on software development.. Technical Expertise. : In-depth knowledge of Unified Communications technologies such as FreeSWITCH and Kamailio and how to utilize them effectively.. Protocol Proficiency. : Strong understanding of SIP and RTP protocols and their application in Unified Communications.. Development Skills. : Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C, or similar, and experience in software development for communications systems.. Automation Skills. : Expertise in automation tools relevant to Unified Communications.. Cloud and OS Knowledge. : Solid understanding of AWS cloud services and Linux operating systems.. Containerization. : Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).. Problem-Solving:.
