Senior Director of User Experience - Growth HubSpot. We’re searching for a results-driven design leader to join our UX team to help shape the future of our Growth product line. You’ll be leading and developing a team of product designers and UX researchers and partnering with product management and engineering to drive the vision for helping thousands of small/medium businesses sign up, onboard, set up, upgrade, and scale with HubSpot. This role has an opportunity to have a major impact in an established business line that is critical to HubSpot’s business strategy. The Growth Product Line is a dynamic horizontal team that leverages product-led growth (PLG) strategies to attract, engage, convert, and retain new customers. We’re looking at 2025 as a year to develop a PLG growth vision to help our customers increase the value they get from HubSpot. Our vision is to integrate PLG into every experience to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention. We believe PLG should drive the customer experience at every stage of the customer lifecycle, regardless of size, sophistication, and at all price tiers. You’ll oversee the development of a PLG design system to ensure consistency and governance of growth-related components across HubSpot’s product. You’ll influence large-scale strategic design projects by bringing a PLG perspective to platform and core experience pillars. You’ll join a leadership team with UX, PM, and Engineering peers, co-creating a holistic, achievable PLG strategy for HubSpot. You’ll also partner with data analysts, web & product marketing, pricing, and other go-to-market leaders . You’ll work with your direct team of 4 leaders, 13 IC designers, and 4 UX researchers on design strategy and execution. You’ll partner with several UX leaders to create a healthy culture and sense of belonging in Growth.  . How do we design?. Design at HubSpot is both grounded in experience design fundamentals and a deep belief that small autonomous teams are the best way to get excellent work in customer's hands.. We value solving for the customer through consistency and quality. We give each designer the responsibility and ownership to chart the course for their designs throughout the product and across teams. We deeply respect User Research and Content Design, and work closely and cooperatively with them while designing. We carefully lead and maintain a modern, scaled design system and design language with our front end teammates. We're embedded on small teams with engineers and product managers in sustainable ratios..  . We’re looking for people who:. Have direct experience leading design for scaled product-led growth teams in B2C, B2B, or ideally both. Have a strong point of view on applied PLG design quality and evidence of setting & holding a standard of excellence. Demonstrate excellence in using experimentation and data-driven design decision-making. Have created and maintained a design system, inclusive of PLG design language, patterns, and UI components. Practiced in coaching designers to identify and drive impact that is great for customers and good for business through clear and actionable feedback. Have experience standing up notifications and air traffic control systems with governance and quality guardrails for scaled platforms. Can manage complex scenarios and drive clarity from ambiguity. Co-create design strategy with peer leaders and designers and influence execution. Several years of building and scaling a high-performing team of designers, leads, and managers. Have partnered with product and engineering leaders to establish objectives, align on high-level strategies, and inspire teams to execute. Have a developed sense for balancing speed, quality, and consistency of design. Understand how to foster team health and bring a sense of mission as functional lead of a line of business. This includes creating a safe space for feedback, thoughtful team organization, aligning strengths to problems, and providing opportunities for career growth through additional responsibility or impact.  . The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.
