In this role, you will work with our Legal & Compliance and cross-functional business teams on marketing and go-to-market matters.. . In this role, you’ll get to:. Provide first-line support to our Marketing and Go-to-Market business teams. This includes supporting all types of marketing and co-marketing activities, including supporting global events, managing influencer and advocacy programs, reviewing marketing campaigns, setting up contests & sweepstakes, and updating marketing release forms.. Draft, negotiate, revise, and manage a wide range of marketing, commercial and technology contracts from initial draft through execution and renewal. Develop and implement playbooks and guidelines to improve legal processes and help maintain business compliance. Identify and execute scaling and standardization opportunities. Partner closely with HubSpot’s Brand team and internal IP counsel to educate and assist with initiatives to protect and enforce intellectual property at HubSpot, with an emphasis on trademarks, copyrights, and domain names. Support M&A activity, including due diligence and integration. We are looking for people who: . Have 4+ years of relevant experience. Law firm and/or in-house technology company experience is a plus. Are a graduate of an accredited law school . Are in good standing and licensed to practice law as a member of the Massachusetts State Bar or other US jurisdiction. Have experience with review of marketing and commercial contracts and feel comfortable running an independent negotiation process. Are familiar with content licensing, trademark filings/maintenance, and fair advertising principles including FTC guidelines . Have deep understanding of industry-specific contract terms (SaaS), and commercial contracting practices specific to marketing and adtech.. Have a working knowledge of data protection frameworks such as CCPA and GDPR and their applicability to sponsored events, CRM practices, and partner /vendor/agency relationships. Have superior organizational skills and are able to handle a broad range of matters and work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced and transparent environment. Are enthusiastic about partnering cross functionally with business stakeholders to to understand strategic goals, and make informed recommendations to achieve business objectives. Are able to provide advice and explain the rationale for decisions to a curious and empowered business teams. Develop strong relationships based on trust with team members.
