As Director of Organic: Content & SEO, you'll lead our content strategy with a primary focus on driving organic growth through exceptional, search-optimized content. You'll collaborate closely with editorial teams, content creators, and key stakeholders to plan, develop, and execute content strategies across our growing portfolio, significantly increasing our organic traffic and domain authority.. You're adept at optimizing production processes and wrangling large, diverse team of editors and writers. You know exactly how to keep the team focused and doing the work right. You're as confident developing and evolving content strategies, as you are staying on top of the production to keep content flowing at an ever increasing quality and performance.. Your leadership inspires and rallies teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. With significant experience managing editorial and SEO teams, content strategy, audience monetization strategy, and operations for digital publications.. You thrive in fast-paced environments and have a proven track record in media monetization, particularly in advertising for B2B SaaS products. Data-driven decision-making is second nature to you, and you’re adept at analyzing market dynamics, identifying differentiation opportunities, and adapting to evolving industry landscapes.. What you'll be doing (responsibilities):. Deliver High-Performing Organic Content - Ensure the team executes the best work for maximum impact, in content planning, production sequencing, and the content itself to ensure production is optimized for organic growth, revenue, and topical authority for the target audiences.. Maintain & Maximize Content Performance - Ensure the work is executed right - faithfully following process, SOPs and playbooks and consistently ranking top for target keywords, driving traffic, clicks, and subscriptions.. Lead & Coach A High-Performing Team - Help the team set ambitious, achievable goals for their publication's traffic growth, quality, and execution and guide them towards achieving those goals. Develop and implement content-focused SEO strategies to drive consistent organic growth.. Direct and Iterate on our world-class SEO strategy - Provide strategic oversight and direction on content planning, ensuring alignment with business goals and audience needs. Direct our SEO team on keyword research and content analysis, supporting our editorial teams in creating content that ranks highly in search engines. How your success will be measured:. Significant growth in organic traffic and enhanced domain authority across existing and new websites.. Effective collaboration and strategic guidance resulting in high-quality, top-ranking content.. Increased output and productivity through optimized processes and resource management. Continuous improvement and adaptation of content and SEO strategies in response to analytics and market trends.. Your skillset includes:. Have 5+ years of proven experience leading SEO-driven content strategies that resulted in substantial organic growth.. Have significant experience managing large (50+ individuals) teams of writers & editors. Possess deep knowledge of SEO best practices, keyword research, content analysis, and backlink building.. Are adept at interpreting web analytics data (Google Analytics, Search Console) to create clear, actionable insights.. Have experience using SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Clearscope, or similar platforms.. Exceptional analytical skills, with deep expertise in data-driven decision-making.. Strong proficiency with content management systems.. Excel in strategic thinking, communication, and collaboration, able to effectively educate and inspire editorial teams.. Are deeply curious, proactively staying ahead of industry changes and algorithm updates.. Demonstrate strong organizational and problem-solving skills, capable of managing multiple projects and priorities.. Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.. The ability to breathe life and inject humour into traditionally dry topics. Strong project management skills, including resource allocation and deadline management. Knowledge of AI and automation tools for content creation and optimization. Self-driven, organized, and passionate about achieving excellence through content optimization.. $150,000 - $200,000 a year. This full time.  . position is available as a either a 100% remote or hybrid position if you're able /would like to commute into our Vancouver office. The role offers an annual salary in the range of $150,000 to $200,000 CAD. The range is a guide for the expected skills, knowledge and experience for new hires based in Canada only. Seniority level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. This means ranges will vary for candidates based outside of Canada and/or at different seniority levels. In addition to annual salary, full time employees are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.. About Us:.
