The Precision Genetics group within the Data, AI and Genome Sciences (DAGS) Department is recruiting a Sr. Scientist, Computational Biology to support Cardiometabolic Drug Discovery. We are seeking an entry level computational biologist with a broad background in applying novel data science approaches to solve real world problems.. You will perform hands-on data analysis of data multi-omic profiling data generated in support of drug discovery programs in the Cardiometabolic Disease Area. You will also, in collaboration with the Statistical Genetics group, mine public human genetic data repositories to generate target/biomarker hypotheses. . You will work closely with the disease area biologists to design experiments and analysis strategies, perform analysis and present the results to the team. You will also identify relevant data sets in the public domain and bring in the necessary data and integrate these with internal datasets to extract more value. You will operate in a highly collaborative environment, partnering with peers across multiple locations and in the broader scientific community.. In this exciting role, you will:. Design and analyze muli-omic profiling experiments to support discovery programs,. Identify relevant datasets in the public domain to internalize and integrate with custom datasets generated in-house.. Collaborate with Stat Gen group to generate target/biomarker hypothesis from genetics data available from consortia and partnerships.. Collaborate with experimental scientists in a matrixed environment to develop research plans and perform bespoke analysis. Clearly communicate results to project teams, our company's scientific community, internal documents and presentations.. Qualifications:. Education:. Ph.D. in Computational Biology or related discipline and a minimum of two (2) years of relevant post-doctoral research experience. Required Experience and Skills: . Deep expertise in multi-omic profiling data: GWAS, RVAS, transcriptomics, proteomics data analysis. Hands-on experience in machine learning methods and LLMs.. Ability to code in R/Python and establish best practices for reproducible data analyses. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Preferred Experience and Skills: . Experience in classical ML and LLMs. Experience in biobanking and biospecimen operations. Familiarity with functional genomics analyses of human samples.
