RSM is looking for a Data Analytics Manager to join our National Finance team. We are open to hiring this role in any US location. This can be a fully remote position.. The Data Analytics Manager is responsible for development and growth of analytics in finance. This role will work with the data analytics center of excellence to create, manage and implement advanced analytics as well as manage the processes and people responsible for accurate data collections, processing, modeling and analysis. The Data Analytics Manager will ensure data accuracy and consistent reporting by designing and creating repeatable processes and be the liaison between the business and the data analytics center of excellence.. Key Responsibilities. Financial Reporting:. Assist in preparing and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.. Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in line with company policies.. Design and create analysis and reports that include summaries, graphs, diagram, and other visual representations in BI or excel.. Develop and maintain forecasting databases/tools and provide analysis to leaders on outcomes.. Collaboration with the business may include but are not limited to:. Collaborate with functional experts and LOB leaders to identify analytical needs and solutions and implement data structure and reporting changes to support business decisions.. Collaboration with offshore directors/managers to come up with robust ways of working with them at operational level and deliver the vision/strategy and priorities of the team.. Take accountability over the analysis – be able to answer questions and provide an easy to comprehend story about the data.. Effective communication of upcoming changes and new initiatives to various customer groups through finance report hub/touch base calls.. Analytical duties may include but are not limited to:. Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, dashboards and performance metrics that support key business decisions. Develop and implement quality controls and standards to ensure quality of the data. Develop and manage forecasting databases/tools and provide analysis to leaders on outcomes. Create and manage new processes for improvement and opportunities.. Employee supervisory duties may include but are not limited to:. Clearly articulating the vision/strategy and priorities of the Finance Reporting & Analytics team and develop and hone the skill sets of the team to complement the firm needs.. Provide effective leadership to teams through providing work direction; interviewing, selecting, orienting, and training; communicating performance expectations & providing feedback on performance, recognition, and coaching; creating career growth opportunities and employee development plans. Minimum Requirements. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience – Required. MBA / CMA / Master’s degree - preferred. Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics major – Preferred. TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS. Expertise in data engineering and visualization processes - Required. Strong knowledge of SQL and MS SQL Server – Preferred. Business Intelligence skills – Required. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written – Required. Strong attention to detail and accuracy – Required. Ability to work autonomously and as a team leader – Required. Effective organization and time management skills – Required. Solid understanding of developing data requirements – Required. Ability to learn, implement and train others on BI systems – Required. Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities - Required. EXPERIENCE. 5+ years relevant experience – Required. Previous experience with SQL – Preferred. Previous experience with a Business Intelligence (BI) tool – Required. Previous experience analyzing data and predicting future outcomes – Required. LEADERSHIP SKILLS. 3+ years’ experience managing staff – Preferred. Demonstrates success in influencing and engaging stakeholders, building collaborative relationships while managing conflicting priorities – Required. Demonstrates ability to respond positively to changing circumstances, seek and implement change to drive business improvement, and serve as a model of change – Required. Strong communication skills; Able to communicate effectively with people at all level of the firm – Required. Able to motivate, inspire and develop individuals and teams to collaborate and deliver to their highest potential - Required.
