Job Description. The Data Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the Ready to Work program. This position is responsible for data management, database maintenance, and documentation compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong organization and management skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to working with staff.. This is a grant funded position. Grant funded positions are time-limited and are contingent upon sufficient grant funding. . Responsibilities:. Data Management: Collect and organize data from various sources related to the project. Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data.. Database Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and updating of project databases, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.. Reporting: Generate regular reports summarizing progress.. Compliance: Ensure data collection and reporting practices adhere to ethical standards, university guidelines, and grant-specific requirements.. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of data-related processes, analysis methods, and reporting procedures.. Collaboration: Work closely with RTW staff members to ensure data needs are met and align with project goals.. Required Education and Experience:. High School Diploma or GED. At least 30 hours of college credits or relevant experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:. Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications.. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling data.. Strong written and verbal communication skills.. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.. Working Conditions:. This is a remote position with a 10% travel requirement to attend work-related meetings at the university.. Work hours are flexible and include evening and weekend hours..
