Only UND Aerospace students are eligible to be hired in this position. The applicant will assist the Aviation Department at the John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences.. . Duties & Responsibilities. . . Support the team in software development in Aviation related research including literature review and documentation efforts. . Develop ML models for testing different use cases related to acoustic C-UAS.. . Support the team in programming, deploying, and testing embedded modules to detect UAVs.. . Assist the Aviation Department at the John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences. - (Essential). . . Required Competencies. . . Strong writing Skills. . Strong communication skills.. . . Minimum Requirements. . . Programming skills (Python and/or C++). Skill Level- Moderate and above.. . Knowledge of data analysis tools, Data Visualization tools, and Basics of Machine Learning(ML).. . Background in Aviation and/or UAS operations. .
