The Opportunity. . “We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the technical development of an analytic decisioning platform. You will be part of a highly energetic team of software engineers responsible for transactional processing of high-volume, low-latency decisioning and analytics execution. These capabilities will drive critical business value in a high growth area for FICO.” – Hiring Manager. What You’ll Contribute. Work closely with product managers to understand priorities and product usage.. Work with architects and team members to drive the design for your software platform capability.. Collaborate with working groups of software engineers to create software engineering standards, guidance, and processes.. Continuously improve engineering practices for the software platform to support efficiency, reliability, and serviceability goals.. Assist research, case studies and prototypes on technologies to ensure the software platform remains the leading analytic decisioning platform.. Collaborate with technology suppliers to address FICO’s technology needs.. Collaborate with QA engineers to design and implement non-functional tests.. What We’re Seeking. Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.. Experience designing, building, deploying, and operating commercial software.. Skilled in building sophisticated runtimes in C++.. Experience with C++ package management (Conan etc.) is nice to have.. Proficient in Python scripting.. Well versed in multiple public cloud technologies (AWS, Google, Azure).. Familiar with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and GitOps.. Experience with the Kubernetes control plane and its ecosystem, including tools like ArgoCD and Crossplane.. Experience operating a critical runtime component that uses observability to diagnose root cause.. Skilled in automation specific to . pipelines. , infrastructure-as-code deployment, cloud, test integration, security integration, and SRE.. Proficient in building, tracking, and communicating plans within Agile processes.. Comfortable supporting production software deployments.. Knowledgeable in commercial software product processes..
