As a Staff Software Engineer at Fortis, you’ll help us research and develop Machine Learning based solutions, from concept to production. You will work closely with highly talented professionals to design, research and develop solutions to improve and accelerate company processes and to open new spaces of possibilities for game design.. . What you’ll achieve. . . Collaborate with the different Fortis teams and departments (Games, Central Tech, Legal, IT, SecOps, Publishing, etc.) to research, develop, productionize and maintain ML-based solutions to improve and accelerate their workflows and processes. . Help grow the studio’s AI department. . Produce technical documentation to educate stakeholders and fellow engineers about software risks, decisions and principles. . Follow the studio's development guidelines and help drive code style and architectural excellence across projects in close communication with other developers. . Instrument, profile, and analyze code to identify and fix complex bugs and performance issues. . Triage and resolve high-impact issues that arise when working in a live environment. . . What you’ll need to be successful. . . 7+ years of software engineering experience in the games industry. . Experience developing mobile games with Unity3D. . Experience training ML models and developing ML solutions with . PyTorch. . Experience with the Hugging Face platform and API. . Experience working with image generation models, including adapter training. . Experience working with LLMs, including SFT, DPO and GRPO training. . Experience working with multimodal models. . Experience with LLM agents. . Knowledge of MCP servers. . Ability to solicit and incorporate feedback in a highly iterative process. . Ability to work in a cross-functional environment, at the enterprise level. . High-energy, hands-on individual with attention to detail and comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment. .
