About The Role. . Niche is seeking a highly skilled Telemetry and Google Analytics focused Product Analyst to join our Data organization. This role focuses on owning and managing our current telemetry stack built on Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, while developing a comprehensive telemetry strategy for our platform's business performance. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in our GA/GTM implementation while maintaining an industry-wide perspective on telemetry technologies including Snowplow, RudderStack, PostHog, and other modern analytics platforms.. . This role will drive strategic decision-making for our platform's telemetry architecture, including platform event tracking and data collection methodologies. A significant portion of this position will be dedicated to hands-on analysis, supporting product and web analysis for product & marketing teams with deep-dive investigations, performance reporting, and actionable insights into SEO, user behavior, and product usage patterns.. . The ideal candidate will excel in both technical implementation and analytical thinking, with strong expertise in data analysis, statistical methods, and business intelligence alongside technical skills (GA4, Tableau, dbt, SQL, and Google Tag Manager). What You Will Do. . . Design and maintain dashboards that track Product & User Experience KPIs, including user flows, engagement metrics, and conversion rates. . Partner with product teams to provide insights into the effectiveness of product development strategies and recommend data-driven improvements. . Monitor website performance and user behavior leveraging Google Analytics and other tracking tools. . Conduct deep-dive analysis to understand user behavior, identify key user segments, and measure the impact of product changes on user experience and performance. . Support the design and measurement of A/B experiments helping establish best practices and align testing to desired business outcomes. . Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-informed decisions that enhance the user experience and product performance. . Manage event tagging and telemetry processes, strategies, and implementations in Google Tag Manager to enable user tracking across the platform. . Conduct regular audits of event tracking infrastructure and proactively address data quality and integrity issues.. . . . . During the 1st Month:. . . Complete a comprehensive onboarding program, meeting with key stakeholders across Product, Analytics & Reporting, Data, and Marketing to understand company and data team OKRs, roadmaps, and workflows. . Dive deep into our data tech stack (GA4, GTM, dbt, Tableau, SQL, Rudderstack), completing specific GA4 tagging training to understand our current telemetry strategy and data architecture. . Collaborate with the Analytics & Reporting team to learn about our analytical processes, data products, and how we query data from our databases. . Begin monitoring website performance and user behavior by reviewing existing dashboards and reports, gaining initial insights into our users and core product KPIs.. . . Within 3 Months:. . . Begin taking ownership of GA4 reporting and analysis across product teams, acting as a key analytics partner. . Manage and implement new event tagging requests in Google Tag Manager, ensuring our user tracking capabilities evolve with the product. . Collaborate with the product team to understand the current SEO strategy, roadmap, and how web analytics supports their initiatives. . Begin to analyze the results of product launches and A/B tests, translating complex data into actionable insights for product managers.. . . Within 6 Months:. . . Take ownership of the platform telemetry strategy, including conducting regular audits of our event tracking infrastructure to proactively address data quality and integrity issues. . Become the subject matter expert for web analytics, confidently presenting your findings and providing data-driven recommendations to cross-functional teams. . Perform self-directed, deep-dive analyses using SQL to identify key user segments and uncover opportunities to drive product KPIs and enhance the user experience. . Design and build new dashboards in Tableau to track key user flows, engagement metrics, and conversion rates.. . . Within 12 Months:. . . Have a deep, nuanced understanding of our product, users, and business, using your expertise to inform overall product strategy and roadmap prioritization. . Propose and contribute to the data & analytics roadmap, identifying opportunities for process improvements and new analytical approaches. . Establish and own internal processes for GA4 and GTM to create a scalable analytics framework that supports the Analytics & Reporting team and the Product organization and helps to foster a data-informed culture.. . . . . What We Are Looking For. . . Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.. . 5+ years of experience in product analytics, web analytics, data analytics, or a similar role. . 3+ years of experience in Google Tag Manager and Event Tracking strategy & implementation. . Strong proficiency in SQL and statistical programming languages such as Python or R. . Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. . Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences. . Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI. . Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms is a plus.. . . Compensation . . Our national target base . salary. range is $97,000 to $122,000, plus participation in our Annual Bonus and Stock Option Program. Base compensation will be commensurate with experience and skills.. .
