OVERVIEW AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS. . . . The BI Engineer / Data Modeling Focus owns the backbone of Acumen’s Business Intelligence environment. They are responsible for wrangling complex datasets, optimizing . pipelines. , and building scalable Power BI data models that power decision-making across the company. . . • Design, build, and optimize star schema models and Power BI datasets. • Develop and maintain . ETL. pipelines from source systems (e.g., DCI). • Ensure data quality, refresh reliability, and performance. • Collaborate with engineers and analysts to ensure semantic consistency. • Support automation engineer with data sourcing and event-driven triggers. • Other duties as assigned. • ALL Acumen employees will be vigilant to support the positive compliant cybersecurity company posture by familiarizing themselves with all policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines and act accordingly. . . Qualifications. . MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS. . . 4+ years in data engineering, Power BI, or analytics engineering roles. . 2+ years of experience with Power BI Premium or Microsoft Fabric. . Hands-on experience using Fabric Data Pipelines, Custom Notebooks or Azure Functions, and Lakehouse or Warehouse components. . Deep experience in SQL, Power BI dataflows, and data modeling best practices. . Passion for data integrity and building usable systems. . Knowledge of healthcare or self-direction data a plus. . Experience working with Power BI Premium or large semantic models. . . PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS. . Master’s in information systems, Data Engineering, or related field preferred. .
