Position Description:. . We are seeking a skilled GIS professional with a strong background in geospatial data to support a variety of projects involving the collection, management, analysis, and visualization of spatial information. The ideal candidate will have experience working with geospatial datasets, tools, and systems to support decision-making, reporting, and technical analysis.. . Key Responsibilities:. . . Collect, clean, and manage geospatial datasets from various sources (e.g., satellite imagery, sensor data, field observations, public datasets).. . Perform spatial analysis using GIS tools to support project goals and deliver actionable insights.. . Maintain metadata, ensure data quality, and support data governance best practices.. . Produce maps, dashboards, and reports that effectively communicate spatial findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.. . Work with teams to support data workflows, documentation, and data publishing . pipelines. .. . Assist in maintaining and improving geodatabases, including vector and raster datasets.. . Collaborate with internal and external partners to meet data delivery and project milestones.. . . Qualifications:. . . Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).. . Proficiency with ESRI tools (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Enterprise), QGIS, or similar platforms.. . Experience working with geospatial file formats (e.g., shapefiles, GeoJSON, KML) and spatial databases.. . Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL) is a plus.. . Understanding of coordinate systems, projections, and spatial data standards.. . Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.. . . Preferred Qualifications:. . . Experience with federal, state, or local government geospatial projects.. . Knowledge of cloud-based GIS environments and data publishing (e.g., ArcGIS Hub, AWS, or similar).. . Familiarity with data cataloging, FAIR principles, or metadata standards (e.g., ISO 19115, FGDC).. . .
