We are looking for an Applied Scientist with experience in digital signal processing or control theory that has worked on novel and emerging technology. As a member of the engineering and technology organization, you’ll be part of a cross-functional team of scientists and engineers whose mission is to build the world’s best quantum computers to solve the world’s most complex problems. You’ll be an architect on the team responsible for the RF and optical controls algorithms used in our quantum computers. . . Responsibilities:. . . Generate automation for test equipment for signal processing and validation of waveforms used to realize quantum gates.. . Perform analysis of signals used to evaluate quantum gates, determining fidelity metrics on exactness of the generated quantum gate. . . Perform signal analysis of RF and optical waveforms using MATLAB and Python.. . Collaborate in an architecture role with interdisciplinary staff. . Perform controls analysis of classical control algorithms such as PID loops. . . The ideal candidate will have experience contributing to multiple signal processing developments using test equipment such as oscilloscopes and signal analyzers. This candidate will have a background in classical control theory such as PID loop design and development, as well as exposure to modern controls. You’ll be able to balance technical expertise and savvy with strong business judgment to make great technology choices.
