As we expand our Voice (IVR) and Digital virtual assistant capabilities, we require a skilled technical product manager to lead development and execution of our product initiatives in this exciting domain. Candidate should be a self-managed and motivated leader that can drive features for a domain or set of components, who makes decisions based on end-to-end impacts, data, and experience. Candidate should demonstrate ownership of capabilities and a sound understanding of technical design for responsible areas. This role will be a critical bridge between our business partners and IT delivery teams - responsible for helping define the roadmap while facilitating technical discovery and feature/user story/acceptance criteria creation/evolution and partnering closely with UI/UX Teams to deliver exceptional user experiences. The ideal candidate will be a results and quality-driven professional with strong analytical and problem-solving ability, established technical background, knowledge and experience with AI models, machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and generative AI, along with expertise in Agile methodologies, exceptional communication skills, digital capabilities, agent capabilities, and a passion for innovation in voice/digital virtual assistant technologies.. Here's what you'll do:. Collaborate with Business and Delivery Teams to execute product vision/strategy: . Assist Business stakeholders with defining/articulating clear product vision and roadmap for voice/digital assistant features, aligned with overall business goals.. Work closely with business leaders to understand product needs (capabilities) and translate them into actionable technical requirements.. Assist Business stakeholders (as needed) by conducting market research, competitive analysis, and reviewing customer feedback sessions to identify opportunities for new products and enhancements.. Build strong, collaborative business relationships to foster trust and ensure sustained momentum and feature velocity in product development.. Discover, create, and deliver new or enhanced Voice (IVR) and/or Digital Virtual Assistant Product Features/Enablers:. Decompose product capabilities into Features and User Stories.. Elicit, analyze, and validate project requirements that result in new functionality or enhancements to existing applications, systems, and/or business process design.. Develop technical specifications and acceptance criteria.. Ensure comprehensive documentation of features/stories including use cases, data requirements, functional requirements, and non-functional requirements for numerous complex IT systems.. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to support the creation of user experiences that meet requirements.. Review and approve high-level designs, functional specifications, user interface designs, and test cases.. Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate features before launch.. Participate in Feature demos to provide context/support to delivery team and release approval.. Provide implementation support and participate in pilot/launch activities.. Generate work outputs including JIRA feature/story and acceptance criteria documentation, flows/infographics, and executive level weekly status/tracking of open items through resolution and completion of all program iteration (PI) pre-planning/planning activities.. Manage internal/external team dependencies:. Identify, document, and manage dependencies across projects and teams to ensure timely delivery of product features.. Manage Risks:. Proactively identify risks related to product development and devise effective mitigation strategies to address potential challenges to quality, timeline, and scope.. Support Defect Triage and Resolution:. Partner with Business/Delivery Team to complete defect triage/analysis and prioritization – pre/post feature launch.. Articulate feasible workarounds/long term solutions and secure next steps from key stakeholders.. Collaborate with delivery teams to implement fixes/enhancements.. Agile Project Management and SDLC:. Apply expertise in Agile requirements management and SDLC to ensure efficient project execution.. Partner with Business, Marketing and/or other cross-functional teams to prioritize and execute features/stories effectively and efficiently.. Manage product backlogs, sprint planning.. Participate in retrospectives, ensuring continuous improvement in the product development process.. Performance Monitoring:. Align outputs to key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of voice/digital assistant initiatives.. Analyze product performance and user engagement data to drive ongoing improvements and feature enhancements.. Collaboration with IT Delivery Teams:. Serve as primary point of contact for IT delivery teams, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.. Act as a liaison/Tech Product Owner between scrum team members, UI/UX, Content management, portfolio/project management, and delivery teams, aligning business needs with technical design/solutions architecture and the end-solution.. Assist in troubleshooting technical issues and implementing solutions to ensure smooth product delivery.. AI Models and Technology Integration:. Leverage experience with various AI models and virtual assistants to inform product development and create best-in-class digital/voice assist interactions.. Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies related to machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, hybrid AI models, and natural language processing (NLP) to enhance the capabilities of our digital assistant offerings.. Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to develop and deploy large language models (LLMs) that improve conversational AI and user engagement.. Continuous Improvement:. Proactively explore/identify areas to improve overall business processes to increase efficiency and improve speed to market.. Engage with platform and industry experts to leverage learnings and technologies to drive the best customer experience.. Use DMAIC and DMADV methodologies to understand the correct issues and drive improvements.. Here's what you'll need to be successful:. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, Business, or a related field preferred; MBA is a plus.. 3+ years of work experience as a Technical Product Owner in IT or some other technical related area.. 5+ years of experience in requirements/product management, particularly in voice technology, digital/digital assistants, or related fields.. Knowledge of DIRECTV products, services, and platforms.. Knowledge and experience with AI models including machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, hybrid models, and large language models (LLMs).. Knowledge and experience of natural language processing (NLP) and its applications in enhancing voice/digital assistant capabilities.. Familiarity with AI ethics, data privacy regulations, and best practices for implementing AI solutions.. Ability to work as a team player in matrixed organizations with both business and IT teams, in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment..
