As Sustainability Manager, you will be responsible for building and executing the end-to-end sustainability strategy at Nivoda. Reporting to the Director of Risk, your core mission is to drive tangible, measurable impact through sustainability initiatives that improve buyer conversion, increase LTV, and build long-term supplier trust—while meeting our shareholder’s commitments and regulatory obligations. This is an execution-heavy role for someone who thrives on building scalable processes, aligning teams, and driving accountability through systems, data, and clear delivery milestones.. What You’ll Do. This is a role for a hands-on operator who drives execution with clarity and speed, and who thrives in the complexity of a fast-growing global organization. You bring a builder’s mindset—translating sustainability goals into structured plans, cross-functional action, and real-world impact.. Own Sustainability Delivery Plan: . Translate Nivoda’s sustainability strategy into actionable quarterly roadmaps, in collaboration with category managers. Define clear milestones, assign ownership, and ensure on-time execution against long-term sustainability commitments.. Supplier Vetting & Onboarding: . Design and implement a supplier acceptance framework based on sustainability risk criteria. Maintain dynamic supplier profiles with regular review cycles, and track compliance through structured audit and exception escalation processes.. Enhance Diamond Traceability from Mine to Market: . Collaborate with industry partners, technology providers, and Nivoda’s global supplier base to improve transparency around diamond origins. Develop and support traceability initiatives that track diamonds from source to end customer, strengthening responsible sourcing practices and increasing buyer confidence.. Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) Certification: . Deliver Nivoda’s RJC certification readiness by building an end-to-end audit plan. Identify and close gaps proactively, coordinate evidence collection, and ensure timely documentation across relevant functions.. Integrate Sustainability into Business Workflows: . Embed sustainability into day-to-day operations across category management, product, supplier engagement, and logistics. Align OKRs and reporting processes to ensure sustainability is operationalized and measurable across departments.. Carbon Neutrality Roadmap: . Support the development of Nivoda’s carbon tracking approach with a focus on supply chain emissions (Scope 3). Begin building simple, scalable ways to collect data, identify key impact areas, and explore integration with procurement workflows.. Tooling and Systems Enablement: . Identify and implement tools to manage sustainability compliance, supplier onboarding, and reporting workflows. Automate manual tasks and ensure data consistency to support operational scalability.. Cross-Functional Collaboration. Work closely with Category Managers, Supplier Management, Accounting, Ops, and Sales to embed sustainability into cross-functional delivery. Set shared goals, drive accountability, and establish structured feedback loops to track execution.. Support External Positioning. Translate internal progress into credible sustainability proof points for use in PR, marketing, customer communications, and stakeholder reporting. Ensure all external claims are backed by verifiable data.. Basic Qualifications. Proven track record in sustainability, or ESG compliance roles with an operational lens.. Strong knowledge of certifications like RJC, and supplier management best practices.. Collaborative mindset with experience driving cross-functional initiatives in fast-paced environments.. Clear and compelling communication skills; ability to translate complex ESG principles into actionable plans.. Demonstrated ability to balance long-term vision with short-term execution.. Experience in carbon accounting and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), especially within supply chains. Preferred Qualifications. Master’s degree in Business Administration, Sustainability, or a related field.. Exceptional analytical skills; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) or coding (Python, SQL).. Experience with RJC or global value chains within the luxury or jewelry industry. Experience working in global teams spanning North America, Europe, and Asia.. Background in luxury, manufacturing or retail / e-commerce.. Hands-on experience with implementing sustainability strategies..
