Hardware Design Electrical Engineer. at Sorcerer you’ll be expected to rapidly prototype and refine our atmospheric sensing systems. You’ll own projects through design, ground-testing, manufacture and flight-testing.. This role is critical within our small team of engineers. You’ll work closely with our CTO and Lead Hardware Engineer building one-of-a-kind sensor hardware. If this sort of thing interests you we’d love to meet you!. Responsibilities. Design and develop atmospheric sensing hardware (temperature, pressure, humidity, etc.). End-to-end ownership of your projects from idea through testing and manufacture. Interface closely with outside design partners (limited international travel required). Support flight-testing campaigns, debugging technical issues in real-time. Required Experience. 6+ years of experience designing sensing hardware in industry. Experience with PCB design tools (Altium, KiCad, LTSpice). Experience developing manufacturing/test equipment for sensors. Ideal Candidates. Have worked with radiosondes or other atmospheric/weather sensing instruments. Have experience designing for space or high-altitude systems. Succeed with a high level of autonomy. Aren’t afraid of scrappy, unconventional problem solving. Location.
