The Opportunity. We are seeking a fast-paced, highly communicative, and detail-oriented Estimator to be a critical link between our clients, in-house estimating team, and remote pricing department. You will be responsible for producing accurate, detailed estimates across a diverse range of residential and commercial projects.This role is essential for ensuring the timely and accurate completion of bids by managing the coordination, communication, and administrative aspects of the estimating process.. The focus of the role is on coordination, liaison, and maintaining a rapid workflow. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-pressure, constantly evolving environment and is highly proactive.. Key Responsibilities. Bid Coordination & Communication:. Liaison between Estimating and Clients:. Receive, analyze, and manage Invitations to Bid (ITB). Facilitate communication between our in-house estimating team and the client.. Request for Information (RFI) Management:. Handle all RFIs generated by the estimating team regarding blueprints, scope, or quantities. Discuss these RFIs with customers/clients and secure timely answers, then communicate the resolution back to the estimating team.. Pricing Department Coordination:. Manage the workflow of the remote pricing department (India-based). Ensure all necessary information is provided for pricing requests.. Vendor Communication:. Proactively pick up the phone to call vendors and suppliers to request pricing when email requests are insufficient or a faster response is needed.. Deadline Management:. Rigorously track all bid deadlines and ensure all necessary parties (estimating, pricing) are on top of their game to meet submission timelines.. Technical & System Management:. Flooring Terminology:. Quickly understand and utilize the fundamental terminology of the commercial flooring industry to effectively communicate with clients and estimators.. Produce detailed estimates for . New Construction & Design-Build. .. Analyze drawings, scopes, and specifications to produce accurate material takeoffs and labor estimates.. Bid Tracking Software:. Master the use of the company's proprietary bid tracking software (specifically the Joint AI system) to log, track, and manage the status of all active bids and takeoffs.. Required Qualifications & Skills. Must have:. Mandatory: Proven background in construction. Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.. Exceptional Communication Skills (English): The ability to speak and communicate clearly and fluently with US-based customers and internal teams.. Strong organizational and time management skills. . Proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks, prioritize effectively, and coordinate between several internal and external stakeholders..
