Account Executive - RunReveal at Costanoa Ventures. Remote Location: Remote - SF or Austin Preferred. Account Executive - RunReveal | Remote (Austin or SF preferred). About RunReveal. RunReveal was founded after Evan Johnson and Alan Braithwaite (former Cloudflare and Segment) realized that even the most advanced security teams were struggling to detect basic attacks. The problem is that security orgs have so much data that companies struggle to build the detections they need, manage their data, and hunt for signals that indicate a compromise has happened.. RunReveal is built for massive amounts of data and will manage the collection of security logs from cloud and SaaS providers. RunReveal will automatically start looking for the signals of compromise and correlate those signals across multiple log streams. RunReveal only takes minutes to set up and will make all logs available for search during investigations, building custom alerts, and building custom dashboards.. What you'll do. As an Account Executive at RunReveal, you'll take a consultative approach to helping security teams understand how our solution fits into their existing software stack. Security teams are constantly inundated with sales pitches and snake oil solutions, so your role isn't to sell something they don't need—it's to genuinely understand their challenges and demonstrate how RunReveal can solve real problems they're facing.. You'll work directly with security professionals, engineering teams, and decision-makers to identify gaps in their current security posture and guide them through how RunReveal's data platform can address those specific needs. This isn't traditional high-pressure sales; it's about building trust, providing value, and helping customers make informed decisions about their security infrastructure.. Responsibilities. Build and manage a pipeline of qualified prospects through consultative outreach and relationship building. Conduct technical discovery calls to understand customer security architectures and pain points. Demo RunReveal's platform in context of customer-specific use cases and requirements. Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure customer needs are accurately represented. Navigate complex enterprise sales cycles with multiple stakeholders across security, engineering, and procurement. Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline reporting using our CRM systems. Represent RunReveal at industry conferences, security meetups, and customer events. Foster long-term relationships that lead to customer success and expansion opportunities. Minimum Requirements. 3+ years of experience in B2B SaaS sales, preferably in security software, infrastructure tools, or enterprise software. Understanding of security concepts, logging infrastructure, and enterprise software architectures (technical background highly beneficial but not required). Experience managing complex enterprise sales cycles with multiple decision-makers. Strong communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for different audiences. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable working in an early-stage startup environment where priorities can shift quickly. Preferred Qualifications. Previous experience at a security software company or selling to security teams. Technical background in software engineering, product management, or systems administration. Experience with enterprise account management and multi-year contract negotiations. Familiarity with security frameworks, compliance requirements, and industry standards. Network within the cybersecurity community and understanding of current threat landscape. What we value. Security sales requires a different approach than traditional SaaS sales. We're looking for someone who understands that security professionals are skeptical of vendors for good reason—they've been burned by overpromising and under-delivering solutions. Our ideal candidate approaches prospects with genuine curiosity about their challenges, leads with education rather than pressure, and builds relationships based on trust and technical credibility.. You'll thrive here if you enjoy solving complex problems, learning about cutting-edge security challenges, and working with highly technical customers who appreciate authentic, consultative sales approaches.. To apply. Applicants must have authorization to work in the United States.
