Business Law Instructor at Campus. Remote Location: Campus Remote. About the Role . Campus is seeking an experienced, mission-driven Business Law instructor to teach high-impact, online undergraduate courses. This role is ideal for legal professionals and educators who are passionate about helping students apply legal reasoning to real-world business scenarios. You'll guide students through foundational and emerging topics in business law including contract formation, torts, commercial paper, intellectual property, and alternative dispute resolution, while also fostering discussion on cutting-edge issues like artificial intelligence and data privacy.. You’ll join a growing network of faculty dedicated to creating meaningful learning experiences for students from all backgrounds, particularly those historically underserved by higher education.. What You’ll Teach. Key topics include:. Contract law (including offer, acceptance, consideration, and enforceability). Torts and their implications for businesses. Commercial paper and negotiable instruments. Intellectual property protections and business strategy. Alternative dispute resolution methods. Legal implications of artificial intelligence and data privacy. Case-based legal analysis and reasoning. Academic Responsibilities and Essential Functions. Teach 11-week live, online courses using engaging, student-centered instructional strategies.. Foster an inclusive, supportive environment that promotes active learning and student participation.. Provide timely, constructive feedback and respond to student inquiries within 24 hours.. Host weekly office hours to deepen student understanding and build community.. Work with Teaching Assistants to co-manage the course, including mentoring the TA on effective grading and student engagement practices.. Evaluate student progress, maintain grade records, and submit mid quarter and end of quarter evaluations.. Collaborate with peers and Campus staff to share best practices and continuously improve instruction.. Contribute to co-curricular programming (e.g., speaker series, networking events) to enrich the student experience.. Stay current on industry and pedagogical trends relevant to your subject area and online teaching, including the effective use of AI tools embedded in our curriculum.. Requirements. JD or Master’s degree in Law, Business Law, or a closely related field. Professional legal experience relevant to business or corporate law (e.g., contracts, intellectual property, compliance, dispute resolution). At least 2 years of teaching experience at the college/university level.. Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom facilitation skills.. Comfort with digital tools and platforms, including LMS and video conferencing. . Digital fluency and ability to effectively incorporate AI-powered educational tools into instruction.. Proactive, reliable, and committed to high-quality online education.. Passion for equity, access, and supporting students from diverse backgrounds.. Available to commit 8-10 hours per week per course, with some flexibility for training.. Compensation . $8,000 per 4-credit course/11 week quarter. $5,000 per 1-2 credit course/11 week quarter.
