Senior DevOps Engineer. to join our new . Platform team. , enabling faster, more reliable delivery through improved . DORA metrics. . You’ll work across teams to build tools, optimise AWS infrastructure, and enhance developer experience.. From your first month you’ll be contributing to platform initiatives, by month two you’ll be proposing solutions to key pain points, and within three months you’ll be shipping improvements developers actively adopt. By six months, you’ll have measurably improved DORA metrics and become a go-to DevOps expert.. 🚀 Key Responsibilities. Platform Development. : Design, build, and maintain our internal developer platform that enables teams to deploy, monitor, and operate their services with minimal friction. CI/CD Excellence. : Architect and implement scalable CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions that reduce deployment time while maintaining quality. Infrastructure as Code. : Lead the development and maintenance of our Terraform/Terragrunt infrastructure, ensuring it's modular, reusable, and well-documented. DORA Metrics Improvement. : Drive initiatives to improve our DORA metrics, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions that accelerate delivery. AWS Architecture. : Design and optimise our AWS infrastructure for performance, cost, and reliability, leveraging services like Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, and SQS. Developer Enablement & Automation. : Partner with development teams to resolve pain points, eliminate toil through automation, and establish best practices for deployment, monitoring, incident response, and security.. Knowledge Sharing & Reliability. : Mentor engineers, document processes, run workshops, and contribute to on-call rotations and post-mortems.. 🎯 Requirements. Strong software engineering background. with multiple years of experience, having transitioned to DevOps/Platform engineering. Deep expertise in AWS,. with strong emphasis on serverless (Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, SQS, IAM, AWS networking). Infrastructure as Code mastery. with Terraform and Terragrunt. CI/CD expertise. with GitHub Actions, including complex workflow design. Strong scripting skills. in Bash (additional proficiency in Node.js and/or Python is a big plus!). Monitoring and observability. experience with modern tooling. Understanding of DORA metrics. and proven track record of improving them. Desirable:. Experience building internal developer platforms/portals.. Kubernetes & GitOps practices.. Service mesh knowledge.. Security best practices (esp. regulated industries/energy)..
