As a Backend Engineer, you’ll play a key role in building and maintaining the core services that power the platform’s marketing capabilities for thousands of ecommerce merchants. This role goes beyond simple API development—you’ll be responsible for designing and implementing business-critical features, ensuring they are reliable, performant, and scalable.. You’ll work primarily with Ruby on Rails, contributing to backend systems that directly impact product functionality and user experience. Your work will involve maintaining robust RESTful and GraphQL APIs, as well as driving the development of backend services that power new features and improve existing ones.. Responsibilities. Develop and maintain backend features and services using Ruby on Rails, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability.. Develop and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs.. Design business logic and backend services that scale with a growing user base.. Ensure high standards of data integrity, performance, and security.. Collaborate with frontend engineers on contract testing, API structure, and seamless service integration..
