Snowball is hiring a Contract Assistant Editor for our client Nectar HR, a fast-growing HR software platform on a mission to help companies celebrate and reward their teams in meaningful ways.. This is a great opportunity to join an exciting brand as it builds out its YouTube presence, which already sees millions of views, and to gain valuable experience working alongside an experienced lead editor and Snowball’s YouTube creative team (who’ve scaled channels to 27M+ subscribers and 10B+ views).. You’ll start by supporting on foundational editing tasks and contributing to polished, high-performing YouTube videos. As Assistant Editor, you’ll be hands-on with raw footage, organizing and shaping it into clear, compelling rough cuts. You’ll work closely with a lead editor to ensure videos come together smoothly and at the highest quality. The role is contract-based (typically 1–3 days of work per video project, with 1 longform video every 3 weeks).. What You’ll Do. Organize and sync footage for each project. Build stringouts and rough assemblies from raw footage. Support the lead editor in preparing projects for polish and final delivery. Collaborate with Snowball’s creative team to maintain YouTube best practices and storytelling standards. Help refine structure, pacing, and story flow in longform edits. Contribute to a collaborative, feedback-driven editing process. What You Bring. 1–3 years of editing or assistant editing experience (YouTube or digital-first content preferred). Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro and other editing tools. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing raw assets and timelines. A solid understanding of storytelling, pacing, and YouTube editing style. Ability to take direction, work quickly, and iterate based on feedback. Eagerness to build your editing skillset and take on greater responsibility over time. Bonus: familiarity with motion graphics, sound design, or color correction. Compensation. : $250/day. Depending on the scope of footage, projects may require 1–3 days of work per video.
