What you’ll own. Regulatory Compliance:. Ensure timely and accurate completion of all . direct/indirect tax filings, corporate secretarial filings, and statutory audits. across India, US, and Singapore.. Tax Leadership:. Direct taxes (CIT, TDS, advance tax, US federal/state). Indirect taxes (GST in India/Singapore, US sales/use tax). Transfer pricing (documentation, advisory, audit support). Audit & Governance:. Partner with Big4s, legal firms, and other advisors to ensure smooth statutory audits and legal confirmations.. Controls & Automation:. Build scalable, automated compliance workflows (e.g., dashboards, trackers, reconciliation bots) to reduce manual work.. Stakeholder Influence:. Work closely with Finance, Legal, PeopleOps, Product, and Engineering to embed compliance into daily operations.. Risk Management:. Identify gaps, mitigate risks, and maintain zero-penalty operations. Proactively handle audits and disputes.. What success looks like 📈. 90 days. Zero lapses across ongoing filings and audits.. Map all compliance workflows across jurisdictions.. Build strong relationships with advisors, regulators, and internal stakeholders.. Conduct a diagnostic check and identify compliance and tax gaps across all geographies Atlan is present. 180 days. Achieve 100% statutory deadline adherence.. Implement at least one automation (e.g., GST dashboard, compliance tracker).. Reduce reliance on external consultants by taking key compliance tasks in-house.. Own statutory audits with Big 4s as auditors. Conduct 1 AI native experiment in your functional org of compliance and tax. 12 months. Zero non-compliance cases; smooth statutory audits.. Deliver measurable cost savings through in-house compliance management.. Build Atlan’s compliance as a “trust signal” for customers, investors, and employees.. Who you are. Chartered Accountant (CA) or Company Secretary (CS). qualification (mandatory).. 7–10 years. of progressive compliance/tax experience — preferably in . fast-growing SaaS / IT / tech. companies.. Exposure to . consulting or advisory. (Big 4, boutique firms, or high-intensity regulatory environments).. Deep knowledge of . Indian direct & indirect taxes. and working knowledge of . US/Singapore corporate taxes & secretarial laws. .. Strong process mindset — experience in setting up compliance frameworks, trackers, or automation.. Skilled at balancing compliance with business speed. You know when to hold the line, and when to adapt..
