Engineering Manager at True Talent Solutions Partners. Remote Location: Palo Alto. About the Role. This is an Engineering Manager role on one of the core product teams at a Series A/B govtech SaaS company modernizing software for local governments. You will serve as a force multiplier, combining technical leadership with people management to drive both team growth and product quality.. What You'll Do. Lead, mentor, and support the career development of a team of 3-7 software engineers.. Partner with product and cross-functional teams to define and execute the technical roadmap.. Stay hands-on, dedicating 20-30% of your time to coding, code reviews, and architectural design.. Guide critical architectural decisions to ensure systems are scalable, performant, and maintainable.. Champion high standards for code quality, testing, documentation, and engineering excellence.. Travel to customer sites approximately 10% of the time.. What We're Looking For. 7-15 years of total engineering experience, with 5+ years as an individual contributor and demonstrated people management experience.. Proven ability to lead a team while maintaining 20-30% hands-on coding involvement.. Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, and Python; experience with Kotlin or Go is a plus.. Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.. Experience building and shipping customer-facing products in production environments.. Early-stage startup experience, with comfort operating in fast-moving, resource-constrained settings.. Consistent tenure averaging 3+ years per role, demonstrating depth of impact and commitment.. Comfort integrating AI tooling (such as Claude, Cursor, or similar) into day-to-day development workflows.. Based in the US, able to work US time zones, and authorized to work without visa sponsorship.. Compensation & Benefits. Base salary range: . $165,000 to $205,000 USD. annually.
