Associate Director, Commerce (Remote Canada) at Directive. Remote Location: Remote - Canada. About Directive Commerce. Directive Commerce is a brand-new B2B commerce marketing division purpose-built for industrial distributors, manufacturers, and complex B2B sellers. We sit at the intersection of technical commerce infrastructure and performance marketing — helping companies with large product catalogs, multi-channel distribution challenges, and enterprise ecommerce platforms turn complexity into revenue. We're building this from zero.. That's not a warning. That's the pitch.. The Role. This is . a founding role.. As Associate Director, Commerce Services, you will be the operating core of Directive Commerce — the person who makes the work excellent, earns client trust, and helps build the methodology that defines what B2B commerce marketing looks like at scale.. You will be the Managing Director's right hand. That means you bring strong opinions, execute without hand-holding, lead client relationships at the executive level, and are deeply capable in the technical work of feeds and marketplace. You will manage people, build playbooks, and contribute directly to the growth of a division that does not yet have a ceiling.. What You'll Own. Feeds & Marketplace — The Core. Lead product feed strategy across a portfolio of B2B clients from initial audit through full-channel optimization. Own feed architecture, attribute taxonomy, and feed health across Google Shopping, Microsoft Shopping, Amazon Business, and emerging B2B channels. Manage marketplace presence and performance for clients on Amazon Seller Central and Vendor Central — with working knowledge of Amazon Business-specific features (quantity discounts, business pricing tiers, tax exemption, procurement integration). Translate complex B2B product catalogs — 10K+ SKUs, technical specs, compliance data, tiered pricing — into clean, performant feed structures. Apply our proprietary three-treatment pricing framework (Advertise / Exclude / Route to RFQ) across client catalog strategies. Client Leadership. Serve as the senior strategic point of contact across your client portfolio. Lead QBRs, executive reporting, and strategic roadmaps with confidence. Identify expansion opportunities and proactively bring them to the table before the client asks. Division Building. Co-build the Directive Commerce methodology — document it, pressure-test it, and own it. Actively use AI tools to improve feed quality, catalog management, and client deliverables; establish the standard for AI-augmented commerce work at this division. Contribute to new business pitches and RFP responses as a subject matter expert. Hire, onboard, and develop team members as the division scales. What You Bring. 5+ years in performance marketing with at least 3 years of direct, hands-on experience in product feed management and marketplace operations — not adjacent to it, in it. Deep platform fluency: Feedonomics (strongly preferred), DataFeedWatch, or equivalent enterprise feed management tools. Demonstrated Google and Microsoft Shopping campaign management at scale. Amazon Seller Central and/or Vendor Central experience required; Amazon Business experience is a meaningful differentiator. Experience with B2B ecommerce, industrial distribution, or high-SKU catalogs — you understand why a 100K SKU catalog is a different problem than a 500-SKU DTC brand. Executive presence: you can run a QBR with a VP, hold your ground in a strategic disagreement, and represent the division externally. People leadership: you've managed or mentored direct reports and take their development seriously. A builder's orientation: you're energized by the blank page, not slowed by it. Practical, already-integrated AI fluency — not theoretical. What Success Looks Like. 90 days: Client audits complete, initial methodology documented, first QBRs delivered with confidence, at least two expansion opportunities identified in the existing portfolio. 6 months: Client retention strong, first expansion revenue generated, two new business pitches contributed to, division playbook drafted. 12 months: You are the recognized internal and external authority on B2B commerce feeds and marketplace at Directive Commerce. The methodology exists because you built it. The clients trust you. The team is growing.. Why This, Why Now. No major agency owns B2B commerce end-to-end. The incumbents are Amazon-only boutiques or DTC agencies trying to retrofit consumer playbooks onto industrial clients. We're building something that doesn't exist yet — with real infrastructure, real ICP focus, and a leadership team that moves fast.. If you want a role where you can see the direct line between your work and the P&L, where "builder" is a job description and not a platitude, and where B2B complexity is a feature rather than a constraint — this is it..
