The Community Manager will build, launch, and lead the official community hubs for Balor Games; taking us from zero to launch across our 70+ title catalog and upcoming flagship releases.. This is not a moderation-only role. You will sit at the intersection of community and marketing, driving community strategies in our go-to-market plans, translating campaign moments into community activations and feeding player sentiment back into our go-to-market strategy.. Your primary goal in the first 90 days is to successfully migrate followers into a unified Balor Games community while establishing the playbooks and pipelines that connect our brand, indie creators and their games to players.. Key Responsibilities. Community infrastructure. Build and brand the official Balor Games Discord Server including server structure, rules, bot integration, and role hierarchy.. Along with the Head of Marketing, set key goals and budget for Community initiatives.. Supervise the community hubs for in-flight titles such as Threads of Time, SCP:5K, Wild Blue Skies and future game releases, providing recommendations to their community management teams.. Identify and vet volunteer moderators to keep all hubs safe and inclusive 24/7.. Author the Balor Games Community Playbook: standardize responses for FAQs, bug reports, and crisis scenarios.. Marketing integration. Collaborate with the marketing team to align community programming with campaign calendars to ensure launches, announcements, and promotions land cohesively across both channels.. Maintain a 30-day rolling content calendar that maps community activations to marketing milestones, balancing hype for new titles with love for the legacy catalog.. Surface community sentiment, feedback themes, and player insights to marketing so campaigns are informed by what players actually care about.. Design community-exclusive activation events (giveaways, AMAs, sneak peeks) that amplify (not duplicate) marketing moments.. Player relationships. Act as the primary point of contact for fans, ensuring they feel at home under the Balor Games banner.. Lead conversation as the voice of Balor Games across all community channels.. Required Qualifications. 5+ years of experience in gaming community management, with a proven track record of building Discord servers from scratch.. A track record of integrating community programming into marketing campaigns; not just running the community in parallel, but making it part of how a launch lands.. Understanding of Steam Community Guidelines and experience with managing multiple active campaigns. Expert-level knowledge of Discord bots and Steamworks community tools.. A deep love for the indie/Triple-I space. You should be able to speak the language of SCP:5K fans just as easily as Threads of Time fans..
