Candidates must be based in the USA or Canada and able to work Eastern time zone.. The Role. Build and maintain backend services and integration layers for distributed, multi-party applications. You'll work in Scala and TypeScript, with daily client interaction as part of a consulting project team.. Required. 3+ years in functional programming. Production experience in Scala and/or TypeScript. Familiarity with Linux, Nix, or NixOS. Strong fundamentals: data modeling, APIs, testing. Clear written and verbal communication; comfortable in a remote team. Nice to Have. Distributed systems, event-driven architecture, or workflow engines.
