As a Licensed Pediatric Therapist at Tailwind Care, you’ll provide evidence-based behavioral health care to children, adolescents, and their caregivers through virtual visits.. You’ll help patients and families address the emotional, behavioral, and family factors that influence health, including motivation, self-esteem, family dynamics, anxiety, mood, body image, and sustainable behavior change. You’ll work with physicians, registered dietitians, and care coordinators as part of an integrated care team.. As a 1099 independent contractor with Tailwind Care, you will not be eligible for employee benefits, including health insurance or paid time off. Tailwind will provide services to support your practice, such as patient matching, billing, and admin support.. What you’ll own. Assess and treat patients and their families.. Conduct behavioral health assessments and deliver developmentally appropriate, evidence-based therapy to children, adolescents, and caregivers, matched to each family's needs and goals.. Support sustainable behavior change.. Help families identify barriers, build skills, set realistic goals, and shape home routines that support health without shame.. Address weight-related emotional health.. Support patients navigating body image, self-esteem, stigma, bullying, anxiety, or mood concerns tied to weight and health.. Catch when additional care is needed.. Screen for and recognize concerns such as significant anxiety, depression, or disordered eating, and coordinate referrals or escalation when appropriate.. Keep records that hold up.. Timely, accurate documentation supporting continuity of care, medical necessity, and payer requirements.. What makes this role different. Your hours are guaranteed.. You won’t be treating patients in isolation. Behavioral health care is integrated with medical and nutrition treatment.. Work with the whole family.. Credentialing, billing, technology, and care coordination are on us, so you spend time working with patients and families.. Deliver longitudinal care.. You’ll have the opportunity to build ongoing relationships with families and support meaningful change over time.. Who you are. Minimum Qualifications. Independently licensed behavioral health clinician as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent. Active, unrestricted license in Texas or an active Counseling Compact privilege. 3+ years providing behavioral health care to children, adolescents, and families.. Training in at least one relevant evidence-based approach, such as motivational interviewing, CBT, or family-based treatment.. Experience screening for and addressing disordered eating, emotional eating, and body image concerns in children or adolescents.. Comfortable conducting telehealth risk assessment and safety planning with children and adolescents, including coordinating local crisis resources when needed.. You're a great fit if. Spanish or other non-English language proficiency.. Schedule & commitment. Schedule:. Part-time and fully remote, with a consistent weekly schedule. Initially, we’re looking for 8 hours per week: two 3-hour blocks on weekdays between 3–7 pm, plus one 2-hour block on Saturday between 9 am–1 pm. Hours will grow over time based on patient volume and your availability.. Patient care:. Virtual visits with children, adolescents, and parents, together or individually.. Between sessions:. Brief check-ins and care team coordination are all paid. Tailwind is not a crisis service, and all visits are scheduled.. Compensation. We offer $70-85 per hour for guaranteed weekly blocks, paid in full whether or not every slot fills.. What Tailwind provides. Malpractice insurance coverage. Paid orientation to Tailwind’s systems, clinical protocols, and workflows. All state licensing, credentialing, and payer enrollment, paid by Tailwind.
