We seek an experienced Program Manager to bring sharp organizational instincts and a passion for delivering transformational client outcomes.. You’ll be one of the first full-time project leaders at AZX, working closely with company founders and engineering teams, and you’ll have a significant impact on both client success and how we scale our delivery model.. You will help foster a culture of operational excellence, client trust, and continuous improvement as we grow the company. Some projects are enterprise-scale, while others are fast innovation cycles — over time, you’ll also help us build internal playbooks and frameworks that accelerate client value.. You’ll join a company founded by experienced veterans in climate and AI. The team brings exceptional expertise from Microsoft, AI2, ARM, acquired startups, and even a major utility, including PhDs, published ML researchers, and former industry executives.. What You Will Do. You will lead projects that range from client engagements to internal initiatives. You will:. Lead client engagements from initiation through delivery and post-launch support, ensuring measurable outcomes and client satisfaction. Build trust and confidence with customers by acting as a strategic partner and ensuring effective deployment of solutions. Facilitate workshops (AI perspective, initiatives, strategy) and translate outcomes into structured plans of action. Coordinate software design and implementation processes, aligning engineering, AI specialists, and client stakeholders. Establish and maintain project standards, documentation, and repeatable processes to improve efficiency. Identify risks, manage dependencies, and ensure timely delivery of milestones. Provide clear communication and reporting to both clients and internal stakeholders. Contribute to building AZX’s project management practices as we scale. Core Qualifications. 10+ years of project or program management experience leading technology initiatives with mid- to large-size customers. Domain expertise in one or more critical industries we serve (energy, utilities, real estate, logistics, climate, or infrastructure) with an understanding of their unique data, regulatory, and operational challenges. Proven track record of delivering custom-built software and data solutions (not just SaaS deployments) with measurable business impact. Hands-on experience working with or deploying AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics solutions, with the ability to translate between technical and business stakeholders. Strong technical literacy with the capability to engage deeply with engineers on topics like system architecture, APIs, data pipelines, and ML model deployment while maintaining strategic oversight. Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives in environments of ambiguity and rapid change. Familiarity with cloud-native environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure), CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development practices. Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools (Agile, Kanban, Jira, Asana, etc.), with the judgment to adapt process to the situation. Excellent communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills with the proven ability to distill complexity, surface risks, and drive clear decision-making. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations or Critical Industries (Environmental); advanced degree a plus. Values and Culture Qualifications. High emotional intelligence and collaborative mindset.
