You’ll be a key driver of our financial integrity, managing your daily workload with minimal supervision while seeking to improve the way we work. You will own the full cycle of vendor invoices and payroll for our entire team, applying your judgment to resolve moderately complex discrepancies and process improvements. This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll partner closely with other teams to solve mutual problems and keep our month-end tasks and audits running smoothly.. Responsibilities:. Vendor Management & Process Optimization:. Process vendor invoices with high accuracy, ensuring all proper approvals are secured.. Identify and suggest process improvements for the accounts payable workflow to increase speed and reduce errors.. Collaborate with approvers to resolve bottlenecks and ensure timely payments.. Payroll Management & Problem Solving:. Manage payroll for all Brightline employees (full-time, part-time, hourly, and salaried).. Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance to management and employees on payroll queries.. Investigate and resolve moderately complex payroll variances or discrepancies using independent judgment.. Financial Accuracy & Scope of Judgment:. Conduct general ledger reconciliation tasks as part of routine accounting activities.. Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies of moderate scope to ensure the integrity of financial data.. Participate in month-end close tasks and assist in complex projects, including financial and workers’ compensation audits.. Cross-Functional Collaboration:. Partner closely with People Operations and external vendors to resolve mutual problems and streamline cross-functional personnel matters.. Work proactively with employees to address missing receipts or expense discrepancies, fostering a culture of financial accountability.. Requirements:. 1–3 years of accounting and payroll experience, with a proven track record of managing a routine workload with little daily instruction..
