About the role. As a People Team intern, you will support a passionate and collaborative People Team that partners across the organization to create thoughtful employee experiences, scalable operations, and clear, people-first processes.. This internship is designed to provide meaningful, hands-on experience in People Operations, HR systems, performance management, process design, and organizational support. Rather than observing from the sidelines, you will contribute directly to operational projects and process improvements that have a real impact on Branchers and the business. You will gain exposure to how a modern People Team operates inside a growing organization while developing practical skills that translate into future HR, operations, or business roles.. This is an ideal opportunity for someone interested in a full-time career in a People function, who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, organizing information, and helping teams operate more effectively.. Key Responsibilities. Support the launch and systematizing of a new People Team requests automation process and system. Assist in automating and streamlining employment verification workflows and documentation practices. Conduct vendor comparison research and organize findings to support People Team operational decision-making. Provide administrative and operational support for performance review cycles. Identify, document, and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other operational processes. Support updates and organizational efforts related to Branch’s Payroll Playbook and associated operational processes. Assist with implementation activities tied to new People Team vendors and systems. Provide operational, administrative, and project-based support across the People Team as business needs evolve. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts focused on scalability, organization, efficiency, and employee experience. Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise. Current undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduate, with an interest in Human Resources. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Comfortable managing repeatable tasks while also supporting long-term projects. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Curious, proactive, and willing to ask questions to better understand processes and business needs. Comfortable working in spreadsheets, documents, and technology platforms with a willingness and ability to learn new systems quickly. Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow-through on deliverables. Interest in process improvement, employee experience, operations, and People Team work.
