DriveWhip is a mobility provider in the Washington, DC area, with offices in multiple cities, including Atlanta, that Leases/Rents vehicles to Uber, Lyft and other On-Demand or Rideshare drivers. DriveWhip is looking for a relentless, resourceful, and results-driven Repossession & Collections Specialist to keep our rentals on track and protect our assets. This job is for someone who thrives on tracking down hard-to-reach renters, resolving payment issues quickly, and coordinating vehicle recovery when needed. If you’ve worked in repossession or collections, you’ll feel right at home here.. . Essential Duties and Responsibilities. (include, but are not limited to the following). :. . . Own the late rental pipeline — quickly identify overdue accounts, reach out to renters via phone, SMS, and other means, and secure payment extensions or arrange immediate returns.. . Investigate and locate hard-to-reach drivers, using creative tactics when necessary.. . Coordinate with on-site staff and tow providers for repossessions as a last resort, ensuring safe and timely retrieval of vehicles.. . Keep track of the whereabouts of late vehicles and disable/re-enable access to vehicles as necessary. . . Keep meticulous records of all communications, payment arrangements, and recovery actions in our system.. . Act as the first line of defense in preventing vehicle abandonment or loss.. . Report risk trends and unresolved cases to management with recommended next steps.. . .  . . Qualifications Required:. . . Proven experience in repossession, collections, skip tracing, or asset recovery.. . Confident, assertive communicator with excellent negotiation skills.. . Comfortable handling high-stress situations and making quick, sound decisions.. . Organized and persistent, with a track record of closing tough cases.. . Familiarity with repossession procedures, vehicle tracking systems, and CRM tools is a plus.. . . Education and Experience:. . High school diploma or equivalent. . Skills and Abilities:. . . 2+ years. in repossession, collections, skip tracing, asset recovery, or a similar high-contact, high-accountability role.. . Proven history of . successfully recovering assets. or resolving delinquent accounts.. . Hands-on experience working with . GPS vehicle tracking systems. , license plate recognition tools, or recovery management platforms.. . Track record of . navigating difficult conversations. and securing payment or asset return from unresponsive or evasive customers.. . Familiarity with . state-specific repossession laws, compliance requirements, and industry best practices. .. . .  . . Work Environment:. . Typical work environment includes desktop computing work using typical desktop computing equipment (laptop, keyboard, mouse, monitors, desk, chair) in an office environment and/or remote workspace environment.. .  . . Physical Demands:. . Ability to sit and use typical desktop computing workspace equipment - e.g. mouse, keyboard, monitor, phone - for extended periods of time.. . Manual dexterity to operate a typical desktop computing workstation.. . Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, using virtual meeting and communication tools such as email, Google Meet, and Slack.. . Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds, if required.. .
