Role Overview: Senior Manager, Future Bound Experiences, Entrepreneurial Competitions. . The Senior Manager of Future Bound Experiences, Entrepreneurial Competitions, supports the expansion of JA local competitions and the path to Future Bound by JA through continued support and engagement with JA Areas. They will assist in planning and implementing the JA Company of the Year and JA Social Innovation Challenge by traveling to JA Areas that request on-site support, working with local staff in the lead-up to the competition, and managing support and training materials associated with local, regional, and national competitions. To optimize impact and student experience, they will support the maintenance and redevelopment of the JA Company Program and JA Be Entrepreneurial. They will also travel, as needed, to support any of the local JA competitions. Lastly, they will support the planning and execution of Future Bound by JA and the national competitions. This role reports to the Senior Director, Education Solutions, Grades 6-12. This role is a three (3) year grant-funded position.. . Essential Functions. . . Assists JA Areas during the event planning phase, focusing on JA Company of the Year and JA Social Innovation Challenge operations and logistics.. . Collaborates with JA USA staff to optimize resources for JA Areas implementing entrepreneurial competitions including event implementation guides, competition templates, and simulation materials.. . Ensures quality service is provided in the delivery of JA Company of the Year and JA Social Innovation Challenge and the supporting materials for JA Area staff, volunteers, educators, and students.. . Supports in the planning and execution of local JA entrepreneurial competitions.. . Supports on-site event logistics and implementation of any of JA’s four student competitions.. . Supports in the promotion of Future Bound by JA.. . Manages various aspects of the national competitions at Future Bound by JA including judge communication and logistics, volunteer support, student registration and support on-site, and JA Alumni Ambassadors management.. . Communicates effectively, working with sensitive information, and with internal and external customers/associates in a professional, courteous, and timely manner using sound judgment and discretion.. . . Required Qualifications. . . Minimum of three (3) years of experience managing events or competitions.. . Experience supporting or managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.. . Attention to detail and proven ability to work independently.. . Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Google Docs.. . Strong written and oral communication skills.. . Ability to travel up to 40%. . . . Desired Qualifications. . . Experience in planning and executing student competitions. . . Field experience working in a JA Area office. . .
