Impact. As a senior member of the Construction Engineering team, you’ll ensure that complex installation and maintenance projects at LANL are executed safely and precisely according to technical, regulatory, and national standards. Your leadership and technical expertise will directly support U.S. nuclear infrastructure reliability and mission readiness.. . . Responsibilities and Duties. . . Oversee field construction activities for conformance with approved drawings and codes. . Lead coordination between design engineers, field personnel, and contractors. . Mentor junior engineers and field staff in project execution and compliance. . Conduct material take-offs and ensure procurement aligns with project needs. . Propose and implement field process improvements to enhance efficiency and safety. . . . Minimum Qualifications. . . Advanced knowledge of construction engineering principles and field verification practices. . Strong experience resolving technical challenges during project execution. . Proficient in ASME, NEC, ACI, and other technical codes and standards. . Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving abilities. . Excellent organizational and communication skills. . . . Desired Skills. . . EIT or PE license. . Familiarity with DOE and LANL standards (Conduct of Engineering, ESM). . Experience in nuclear, laboratory, or high-consequence environments. . Background in electrical, mechanical, or glovebox installation systems. . . . Education and Experience Requirements. . . Required:.  Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 6+ years of experience OR 14 years of related industry experience. . Desired:.  Professional certification (EIT or PE). . . .
