Job Summary:. . The Associate Director of Computational Biology applies advanced computational, statistical, and machine learning approaches to accelerate therapeutic discovery and development. This role integrates deep biological insight with high dimensional data analytics to identify pharmacodynamic, mechanistic drivers of disease and response enrichment biomarkers. The Associate Director partners closely with pharmacokinetics, statistics, clinical, and external collaborators to deliver rigorous and actionable scientific insights that shape portfolio strategy.. . Work Arrangement & Location: . . Remote - . This position is designated as remote; the incumbent will be expected to travel to Beeline Medicines’ offices on a periodic basis to support in-person collaboration, team engagement, and business operations. The frequency and scheduling of such visits will be determined at the company's discretion based on business need.. . Essential Duties and Responsibilities: . . . Design, implement, and oversee multi omics analyses (transcriptomics, proteomics, genomics, single cell, spatial, etc.) to uncover disease mechanisms and therapeutic opportunities.. . Develop and apply advanced modeling approaches, including graph machine learning, network analysis, and causal inference frameworks.. . Integrate patient derived datasets, in vitro human centric model data, and real world evidence to drive translational insights.. . Identify and validate therapeutic targets, biomarkers, and mechanistic hypotheses that inform discovery and early development programs.. . Partner with experimental teams to design studies, interpret results, and refine hypotheses.. . Contribute to scientific strategy, portfolio prioritization, and data driven decision making across programs.. . Collaborate with pharmacokinetics, statistics, biology, and clinical teams to ensure cohesive scientific execution of the translational strategies.. . Support external partnerships by aligning deliverables, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring high quality scientific outputs.. . Communicate complex computational findings to diverse audiences, including executives, partners, and non computational scientists. .. . Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. . . Qualifications:. . . Education: PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, systems biology, genomics, or a closely related quantitative life sciences discipline required.. . Minimum of 7 years of experience in biotech/pharma or translational research, with a strong track record of scientific impact.. . Demonstrated expertise in high dimensional biological data analysis and modern computational methods (e.g., ML/AI, network biology, multi omics integration).. . Strong biological background and ability to translate computational findings into mechanistic hypotheses.. . Demonstrated experience with machine learning and statistical modeling approaches applied to biological data, including dimensionality reduction, clustering, classification, and predictive modeling.. . Scientific expertise in immunology, autoimmunity, or inflammation biology is highly desirable; prior experience in lupus or related autoimmune indications is a strong advantage.. . Experience with patient stratification, biomarker discovery, or predictive modeling approaches applied to clinical trial datasets.. . Familiarity with databases and platforms relevant to drug discovery and translational research, including GTEx, ENCODE, GWAS data, GEO, and disease-specific consortia datasets.. . Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, resource-constrained biotech or pharmaceutical environment; fosters a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous learning.. . Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to translate complex scientific, regulatory, or operational content for diverse audiences, including executive leadership, clinical teams, and external partners.. . Adept at facilitating productive dialogue in high-stakes meetings, negotiations, and multi-party collaborations; balances clarity, diplomacy, and scientific precision.. . Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
