Solutions Engineer.  reporting to the Platform Engineering Director to work directly with our regional sales, Engineering and Construction teams, with a focus on delivering our highly innovative data center solutions in ways that align with our client’s needs..  . . Key Responsibilities. . . Include but are not limited to:. . . . Collaborate with the sales team in Europe to understand client requirements and assist in providing Edged data center solutions that align with their objectives..  . . . . Provide technical assistance to sales teams in response to customer RFPs. Respond to technical questions, prepare presentation materials, and attend meetings with potential and existing clients..  . . . . Maintain a deep understanding of Edged's data center products and services to effectively communicate their value to internal and external teams..  . . . . Present and explain technical material including mechanical and electrical design to potential customers..  . . . . Coordinate with Edged internal engineering, operations and project delivery teams to ensure that agreements with clients are appropriate and effectively managed..  . . . . Provide post-sales technical support to clients, addressing questions, concerns, and assisting in the implementation of future solutions..  . . . . Continuously monitor the competitive landscape and industry trends, providing insights and feedback to help refine Edged product offerings..  . . . . Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded..  . . . . Contribute technical input to platform reference designs and standard solution sets, under the direction of the Director of Platform Engineering..  . . . . Translate platform-level requirements for capacity, resilience, performance and operability into integrated electrical, mechanical and systems design solutions..  . . . . Identify technical risks, design constraints and system interdependencies, escalating issues and supporting mitigation planning as required..  . . . . Engage with equipment manufacturers and specialist consultants to validate technical assumptions, performance criteria and integration approaches..  . . . . Support continuous improvement by incorporating lessons learned from delivery, commissioning and operational feedback..  . . . . Contribute to sustainability, efficiency and reliability objectives by embedding approved design principles into platform solutions..  . . .  . . Education and Experience. . . Bachelor's degree in a related Engineering field.  . . . . Minimum 3 years’ experience in a technical role including data center design, construction, or technical sales. Other relevant experience will be considered..  . . . . Experience in technical sales or sales engineering, preferably in the data center industry..  . . . . Understanding of data center design and critical systems is required..  . . . . Knowledge of hyperscale client design standards and philosophies is a plus..  . . . . Strong knowledge of data center customer infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization technologies..  . . .  . . Specific Skills / Abilities. . . Proficient in the use of design or visualization software (Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam etc.).  . . . . Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders..  . . . . Problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet..  . . . . Strong project management skills and attention to detail..  . . . .
