We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. We are looking for bright engineers interested in helping our customers solve complex technical issues related to Applied Intuition's defense products. Our Solution Engineers have a unique mix of software expertise, domain knowledge, and execution driven mindset. This is an important role for the company bringing together our product and engineering expertise with our customer-centric culture.. . . Understanding Applied’s autonomy development tools (Axion) for ground, maritime, and aerial autonomy domains (single domain is minimum, multi-domain expertise a big plus). . Collaborating on Applied’s reference autonomy stack design (Acuity) for all  domains and applying them customized designs based on the customer needs and applications. . Interfacing with customers for support of the customer’s use of tools (Axion) and its own stack development efforts. . . At Applied Intuition, you will:. . . Communicate with the customer regularly and manage daily/weekly/monthly interactions . . Manage the customer-facting relations by balancing SoW,customer requirements, and progress of the internal stack development. . Interact with the internal/local stack developers on how to address customer feedback and requirements (play a crucial role in customizing internal solutions for customer applications). . Organize customer technical requirements, setting up and participating in technical meetings, tracking project milestones, and other project management roles. . Develop new business opportunities and lead the capture activities. . . We're looking for someone who has:. . . Deep expertise in autonomy technology development such as offroad self-driving, multi-modality sensor fusion, unmanned surface vehicles (boats), and aerial drones . . Extensive background in defense technologies and projects rooted on autonomy. . Strong project management skills with prior experiences on managing state-of-the-art technology components and open-ended design goals. . . Nice to have:. . . Deep expertise on computer vision, lidar, and radar signal processing. . Quadcopter (drone) hardware and software. . Deep learning and deep reinforcement learning. .
