We’re looking for an experienced ASL Interpreter who can bring clarity, equity, and connection into every virtual classroom. As a teletherapy-based interpreter, you’ll play a critical role in making sure Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students have full, real-time access to learning—no matter where they are.. .  . . Whether it’s translating algebra lessons, IEP meetings, or school assemblies, you’ll be the link that ensures every voice is heard and every message lands. If you're certified in Missouri, fluent in ASL, and passionate about accessible education—we want to meet you.. .  . . What You’ll Do:. . . Provide . live, synchronous interpretation. (spoken English ↔ ASL) for virtual instruction, IEPs, school events, and more. . Collaborate with educators to optimize the . remote classroom experience. for students who are Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing. . Ensure seamless . tech setup and secure connections. —from lighting to lag, you’ve got it handled. . Shadow students virtually to provide real-time, discreet access to instruction. . Offer insights at IEP meetings and team huddles to support student communication needs. . Keep clear records of your assignments, sessions, and accommodations provided. . Be a champion for language access—whether it’s in a classroom, a parent meeting, or a school-wide event. . . What You Bring:. . . Restricted Certification in Education (RCED). for grades K–6 and/or 7–12 via the . Missouri Interpreters Certification System (MICS). . Strong command of . ASL and spoken English. . Experience interpreting in K–12 environments—classrooms, assemblies, IEPs, and beyond. . Comfortable with platforms like Zoom and Teams; solid tech troubleshooting chops. . Deep understanding of DHH education, assistive technologies, and ADA/IDEA compliance. . A collaborative spirit and top-notch communication skills. .
