About the Role. . We are looking for a . People Operations Coordinator . with a strong foundation and interest in people operations. In this role, you will provide support to a wide range of functions, including benefits administration, compliance, HRIS management, payroll, and more.. . The ideal candidate has . 2+ years of experience. in people ops and is highly organized, proactive, comfortable taking initiative, and excited about owning projects end-to-end, all while providing top notch employee experience. . . Key Responsibilities. . Benefits. . . Be the first point of contact for all employee benefit inquiries. . Support benefit administration: enrollments, changes, terminations, renewals, and plan design. . Assist with open enrollment communication, materials, and employee education. . Ensure compliance with regulations such as ACA, ERISA, and COBRA. . . HRIS Management. . . Maintain accurate employee data in Rippling (our HRIS); run regular audits. . Process employee lifecycle transactions (new hires, changes, terminations). . Become the in-house reporting expert, generating reports to support the People team and the business. . Troubleshoot HRIS issues and provide support to employees and managers. . . Payroll. . . Partner with our People Operations Manager and Finance team to process biweekly payroll, ensuring all updates and changes are captured. . Support leave of absence management through our partnership with Sparrow and/or internal tracking. . . General People Operations. . . Act as the first line of support for employee and manager inquiries, delivering timely, thoughtful, and accurate guidance. . Support internal and external HR audits and maintain accurate records. . Assist with the development, rollout, and documentation of HR policies and processes. . Complete I-9 employment authorization. . Support onboarding, offboarding, and ad-hoc people programs. . . What We're Looking For. . . Experience:. You have 2+ years of experience in a People Operations with a solid understanding of core HR functions. . Technical Skills: . You use Excel/Google Sheets and other tools (extra points for AI!) to help ease and expedite your work. . Communication and Collaboration: . You communicate clearly, concisely, and kindly and enjoy working across teams and departments. . Confidentiality and Professionalism:. You understand the importance of confidentiality and professionalism in your role and communications. . Organization: . You are highly organized capable of managing competing priorities and tasks. . Experience in a fast-paced, distributed tech startup. . Hands-on experience with Rippling and Google Suite. . Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple high-priority projects. . Solid grasp of fundamental HR knowledge, practices, and requirements. . . Location. . Remote within the United States, with hybrid options in New York City, San Francisco, Phoenix, and Jacksonville. . Benefits. . .
