Job Description. . Blue Water Thinking is seeking an experienced and dedicated . Onboarding Specialist. to join our team, supporting a large project at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The primary responsibility of this role is to coordinate and manage the onboarding process for staff supporting VA task orders, ensuring that all documentation is submitted accurately and in a timely manner and that new hires are fully prepared to begin their assignments.. .  . Key Responsibilities:. . . Coordinate onboarding activities for new staff joining VA task orders.. . Track and manage the submission of all required onboarding documentation, including security forms, training certificates, and other government-mandated materials.. . Communicate with incoming staff to ensure they understand and complete all onboarding requirements.. . Serve as a liaison between new staff, internal teams, and VA representatives to resolve onboarding issues and ensure smooth onboarding experiences.. . Maintain accurate onboarding records and track the status of each candidate through the onboarding process.. . Ensure compliance with all applicable VA onboarding policies and procedures.. . Provide regular onboarding status updates to internal program managers and leadership.. . Assist in improving and streamlining onboarding processes and documentation as needed.. . . Minimum Qualifications:. . . Bachelor’s Degree.. . 2+ years of experience in onboarding, HR coordination, or administrative support roles.. . Experience with the VA Onboarding process. . Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple onboarding processes simultaneously.. . Experience coordinating onboarding or administrative processes in a government or contracting environment.. . Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).. . . Preferred Qualifications:. . . Experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or other federal clients.. . Familiarity with government onboarding processes and security clearance documentation requirements.. . Experience using onboarding or applicant tracking systems.. . . Eligibility:. . . Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.. . Must be able to obtain and maintain the required federal public trust clearance for this role.. . . Compensation:. . Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. . . The salary range for this position is. $60,000 - $80,000. .
